As i promised today's post is about the second set my friend ordered with the colors from Argentina. I used the same colors but did a different weave for each.

I think these are just as bright and sunny... And, Yes she loved these also, she's sending them to family still in Argentina.
Now that she has had time to think about it she ordered two more sets for gifts. Guress I'll be busy for a while now....

Today's post is about an order for a friend of mine... Yes, I've started taking orders and charging $15.00 for the Set of 1-Large + 1-Small Potholder. She is from Argentina originally and asked if I could make a set with the Argentine colors. So I looked up the flag for Argentina and here's what I made.
Colors used:
Don't they look bright and sunny? Well she liked them so much she ordered a second set with the same colors.

This set was made special for our daughter Lorna. She likes the colors black, red, and white, so that's exactly what she has.....

Today's Potholders are a set I made as a gift for a very good friend of ours. She loves the outdoors and her home reflects that. The colors I picked were in the browns for the earth, blues for the sky, and yellow for the sun and flowers....
Here are the colors I used:

Today I'm posting a set I made for our Cabin in Ga. I wanted it to have darker fall colors, and still be bright and fresh.
Here's what colors I used:
With this first large one I tried a diagonal weave to see how it showed up all the way across. But I can see it good in the Leaf color but it gets lost when it travels thru the multi colors part. Oh will, now I know.

I'm quit happy with the way they turned out and enjoyed using them right away. Hubby grabbed one of the small ones for his mug coaster. Hmmmm. On line I've seen little baby looms that are for Mug Rugs as there called. I'll have to look into that next I guess.

I named these after my "Fiesta" dishes, they really brighten up the table when there's a large group of us here. So I tried to use colors that would match as best I could. When I used on the table with the dishes they look Great together.

When I first found these on Pinterest the site took me to the Esty site of GK's Kitchen I knew I had to give it a try.....She called them Watermelon's but I think maybe Strawberry's, would fit too, but I like them either way.
So this is my try for this summery design, and the colors I used:

After I made these I saw another variation of this with a few black or chocolate loops in the middle area for seeds... it looked good too. I may have to try a few with the seeds.

Hi All!
After making the last set for our daughter-in-law I made another set for her "Mom". And yep you guessed it, her colors where blues and grays...... Do you see a pattern here? However Mom's kitchen has a Western Country look... Now this was going to be tricky. So I did my best, and here is what I came up with colors used:

Hi Everyone!
Today I'm posting a set I made for one of our daughters. I asked her what colors her kitchen was in and she said blues and grays...... hmmmmmm. I didn't say what I was making, so I had to tip-toe around how to find out dark's, light's, ..... She gave me, beachy cottage vibe.......
With that info. I picked these colors:
So I went from that to this for the Large one.
Here the second Large one.
This is the first Small size.
And the best of the last Small size.
And then the FINISHED project!!!!
I was going to save them for a Birthday gift...but couldn't wait... and gave them to her now.
She Loved them.... and told hubby "Hands Off".... He does all kinds of Bar-B-Q-ING and makes a mess of all her potholders....
Think I'll make him his own set with Bar-B-Q in mind....maybe a lot of BLACK....
Anyway, let me know what you think good or bad, I'd love to hear your options.
Well here we go, can you tell I went and did it? Yep,I got the small loom too, and the same extra Lotta loops in the Traditional size. The Loom is 7"x 7" and makes potholders that are about 6"x6".

Will I had Eye surgery and can't stand sitting around doing, will Not Much... I'm always looking for something new and saw this old craft that I had when I was a KID, I know you'll remember them....but now it's even bigger and better.
So here we go, I found this Potholder Kit on line on the Harrisville Designs site. They have the 10" Pro size that makes the 8" x 8" nice Large potholders and enough loops to make 2 potholders. I went ahead and got a bag of the "Lotta Loops" in the Brights colors to match what comes in the kit. And then with that I was on my way.
